BBC Films are gearing up for a biopic picture, partnering with legendary producer Jeremy Thomas ("The Last Emperor") and his Recorded Picture Company to back "You Really Got Me," the feature film will tell the unknown lgend of The Kinks for the first time and will be directed by punk rock documentarian Julien Temple.
The project, which will focus on the tention between genious songwriter rivalry Ray Davies and his rebel rousing brother Dave Davies. will hit your face sometime next year. Scored by the waring siblings themselves and written by Dick Clement and Ian LaFrenais ("Porridge", the "Commitments") will tell it like it was is and forever will be. Thomas calls the project "a unique tale, the story of the Cain and Abel of rock 'n' roll,".

Rio 50º / Carry On Carioca, sets out to X-ray the noir soul of this tropical paradise and find the violent darkness and despair that lurks within the sunlit shadows of the carnival city.
Using the everchanging rhythms of carioca music itself to narrate the tale, the film explores Rio's explosive journey from the end of slavery to the brink of staging both World Cup and Olympics, taking us on a time travelling rollercoaster ride through a series of incendiary highs and truly terrifying lows.
